We are Jason, Kaylee, and Kyler and we want to thank-you for taking the time to get to know us. We feel very blessed to have this opportunity and we look forward to getting to know you. We want you to know how much we love and respect you. We pray for you daily, that you may feel comforted and that the Spirit will guide you with the important decisions that you are facing.

Our Beginning

We were set up on a blind date seven years ago and haven't spent a day apart since. At the time Jason was just finishing up his masters degree at Utah State University and I was doing my student teaching in a 2nd grade classroom in Brigham City. Little did I know that the teacher I was assigned to work with would introduce me to the man of my dreams. We hit it off on our first date and the rest was history. We met in January, spent the next 4 months being together everyday, got engaged in April, and was married for time and all eternity on July 29th, 2004. Although we have had many ups and downs over the past few years, we feel blessed to have each other to lean on. We are excited and look forward to what the future has in store for us!!

Why we want to adopt

After we had been married about 6 months we decided that it was time to start our family. After many years of doctor visits, fertility drugs, trying in vitro twice and still no success we decided that it was time to seek another path for children to join our family. Family is very important to us and it has always been a dream of ours to be a mommy and daddy. Our son was placed through adoption with us 2 years ago this October. We feel that our family is missing a sweet little spirit and hope that through the miracle of adoption that we might be chosen again. We would LOVE to welcome a baby boy or girl into our home. Although the past 7 years have been full of tears, frustrations, and emotional ups and downs we know that adoption is the right thing for us and our family. We feel blessed to have this opportunity and look forward to meeting that wonderful birthmom who will give us the greatest gift anyone could ever give.

I grew up with two younger brothers. We grew up in a small town and had tons of fun creating adventures and playing all sorts sports and games together. My dad traveled for his job and we often joined him on the road in the motorhome off seeing places all around the west. We also spent a good part of our summers up at a cabin at Bear Lake. This home away from home was an awesome place to explore, swim, fish, and have fun. My whole family loved skiing growing up and we even joined the ski patrol. We have a great time together. We try to work hard and play hard and create great memories and have alot of fun. I hope to enjoy times like these with my own kids. I am still close with my whole family and I really love them and think it is important to always have family in our lives. I also really love Kaylee and I want to thank her for being a great friend and wife. We've been through awesome times and hard times, but we're in this together and I love her.

About Kaylee

I come from a family of 5 children, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. We were raised on a farm in the country and taught the value of hard work. I have fond memories of my childhood being able to play freely outdoors and not having to worry about scary neighbors or having something bad happen. We lived close enough to our cousins that we were able to play together often. Some of my favorite memories include: spending hours in my playhouse playing with dolls, having a school room set up in my bedroom, riding bikes to the little country store, and being around the farm animals. I have wonderful memories of my childhood and the way I was raised. I hope to be able to create and give my own children some of these wonderful experiences in life.

About Kyler

Kyler was born on September 30th and we were able to bring him home on October 2nd. His birthmom Michelle decided to place him with us just 24 hours prior to bringing him home. We frantically got all of the necessities ready and were so excited and couldn't believe that we were finally going to be parents. That was one of the happiest days of our life's.

Almost 2 years later we look back and feel so blessed to have been chosen to be his parents. We LOVE him so much and not a day goes by that we don't thank our Heavenly Father for the miracle of adoption.

Our Fun Times

We enjoy spending as much time in the outdoors as possible. During the summer months we enjoy going camping to my grandparents property in the mountains above Lava, Hot Springs. They have a cabin, but we enjoy sleeping in our tent. While up there we love floating the Lava River, going on four wheeler rides, playing card games, eating great food, and being with family.
Other things we enjoy doing in the summer include: working in our yard, having family and friends over for barbeque's, going away for our anniversary, hosting our annual 4th of July party, swimming and spending a week at the condo in Park City.

Fall is our favorite season and we love all of the activities that come with it. Some of our favorite things include: attending football games, being in the outdoors enjoying the beautiful scenery, carving pumpkins, and preparing for the many holidays.

During the cold winter months one of our favorite hobbies is to go skiing. Jason has been skiing ever since he was little and loves it. I just recently took up this hobby and have really enjoyed it. Other things we enjoy about the winter is the slower pace of life. We enjoy staying at home and being warm and cozy while watching a great movie and having pizza.

Our Families

Kaylee's Family I'm the second of five children. Two brothers and two sisters. I grew up in the country riding horses and being around animals. My parents taught me the value of hard work. Together as a family we enjoy getting together for Sunday night dinner, going camping in the summer, attending the annual fair and rodeo, playing different card games, and going night skiing. My brother and sister-in-law have a little girl that Kyler is best friends with. Grandma & grandpa can't wait to have another grandchild to spoil.
Jason's Family
I'm the oldest of 3 boys. I grew up in a small town playing sports on Saturdays with his dad as the coach! We spent an awesome childhood traveling around in the Ol' motorhome. We spent time doing chores together, then going skiing or going to the movies. We also grew up spending summers at our home away from home up at Bear Lake with many a sunburn! Our family currently enjoys barbeque's, football games, movies, fishing, and the outdoors among other things. Jason's brother has two rambunctious boys that keep grandma & grandpa busy.

We enjoy spending time with our families. We are blessed to have all of our family live not more than ½ hour away and we get together often.

Our Home

We have lived in this home for 4 years and find it very comfortable. One of the main highlights of the home and one of the reasons why we bought it was for the backyard. It is very lush and green and has a creek running through it. We love being outdoors and spend as much time as possible outside doing yard work, barbecuing, playing games, or hosting parties. We plan to stay in this home for many years. It has 4 bedrooms, 3bathroom, and an awesome basement.

Open Adoptions

We are completely open to open adoption. We want you to know that your child will always know who you are and that you love them. We plan to be very open with them about adoption, letting them know that they were adopted before they even understand what that means. We want them to know you, and to always love and respect you for the tremendous act of love that you made on their behalf. We will always do our best to respect your wishes. We will shower you with more pictures and updates than you know what to do with! This can be in the form of blogs (I love the ease and timeliness of it!), letters, phone calls, and photographs. We would like to meet you and have an ongoing relationship with you. We'd like casual contact through the years—like meeting for dinner on occasion. You will be part of your child's life.
If you prefer a closed adoption, we will honor those wishes. We would still let the child know he/she was adopted and how much love you have for them in making such a sacrifice. We will only disclose as much information about you as you choose.
No matter what level of openness you want, we will work with you in forming an honest relationship that is comfortable for all of us. No matter what, your child will know that he/she is loved, and we will forever be grateful for your decision.
